These Terms are the rules for using CubersDen and for taking part in its community. They apply to everyone who uses the website or the apps. Please read them before you create an account. The Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.
1. The service and who provides it
These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern CubersDen: the website at cubersden.com and the CubersDen apps for iPhone, Apple Watch and Android (together, the “Service”). They are the terms of service required by the Polish Act of 18 July 2002 on Providing Services by Electronic Means and the terms and conditions required by Article 14 of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 (the Digital Services Act, “DSA”).
The Service is provided by Arvind Juneja, a sole trader registered in Poland, [[REGISTERED ADDRESS]], NIP [[NIP]], email support@cubersden.com (“we”, “us”).
Through the Service we provide, by electronic means: (a) a solve timer, statistics, algorithm trainers and lessons, most of which work without an account; (b) user accounts that keep your data in sync across your devices; (c) head-to-head battles and leaderboards; (d) community features: posts, comments, replies, likes, follows, shared scrambles and public profiles, which store and publish information that users provide (a hosting service within the meaning of the DSA); (e) a form for reporting content and contact by email.
The Service is free of charge. It contains no paid features and no advertising.
Technical requirements: a device with a current version of a common web browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox or Edge) with JavaScript enabled, or an iPhone or Android device running the system version stated on the app’s page in the App Store or Google Play; an internet connection for accounts, sync and community features; an email address or an Apple or Google account to create an account. Smart cubes need Bluetooth. The cube scanner needs a camera and is optional: colours can always be entered by hand.
A contract for features that work without an account is concluded when you start using them and ends when you stop. A contract for an account is concluded when you create the account, runs for an indefinite period and ends when you delete the account (section 9) or when we end it under section 8.
Content you post stays yours. By posting it you grant us a free, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to store, reproduce, display and distribute it within the Service for as long as it is published and afterwards for the retention periods set out in the Privacy Policy. Content you make public can be read by anyone, including people without an account.
Using any internet service carries risks, such as malware, phishing or someone taking over your account. Use a password you do not use anywhere else, keep your device and browser up to date, and never give your password to anyone, including someone who says they are from CubersDen.
2. Accounts and age
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. We do not create accounts for anyone under 13. People under 13 can use every feature that works without an account; their data then stays on their device.
When you join the community we ask for your year of birth. Answer truthfully. We store only the resulting age group, never your birth date. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 13, we switch its community features off and ask for the account to be converted to use without an account or deleted.
Accounts of users aged 13 to 15 start with a private profile and do not publish personal bests to the feed automatically. If you are under 18, please read these Terms together with a parent or legal guardian.
Your account is personal. Do not share it, sell it or let anyone else use it, and keep your password secret. You are responsible for what is done through your account unless it was used without your fault.
Your username, display name and bio are public and must follow section 4. We may replace one that does not with a neutral name such as “cuber” and four digits.
Before your first post, comment, like or follow you must accept these Terms and the community guidelines. We record which version of the Terms you accepted and when.
3. Zero tolerance
CubersDen has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. Content that breaks section 4 is removed, and users who post it or who abuse other users are removed from the Service.
Serious violations lead to an immediate and permanent ban without a prior warning. Serious violations are, in particular: anything under clause 4.5 (child safety), threats of violence, hate under clause 4.3, sexual content under clause 4.4, and evading a ban. Other violations lead to removal of the content and a warning or a ban, depending on how serious they are and on the user’s earlier violations.
Zero tolerance applies everywhere in the Service: posts, comments, replies, usernames, display names, bios, shared scrambles and battles.
Where information gives rise to a suspicion that a criminal offence threatening the life or safety of a person has taken place, is taking place or is likely to take place, we inform the Polish Police without delay (Article 18 DSA). We report suspected child sexual abuse material to Dyżurnet.pl (NASK) and to the Police, and we preserve it for them.
4. Prohibited content and conduct
Illegal content: anything that is illegal under the law of the European Union or of Poland.
Harassment and bullying: insulting, humiliating, intimidating or threatening another person, targeting someone repeatedly, or encouraging others to do so.
Hate: attacking or demeaning people because of their race, ethnic or national origin, religion, disability, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or age, or promoting organisations or symbols of hate.
Sexual content: sexual or sexually suggestive content of any kind, including nudity, links to it, and sexual comments about any person.
Child safety: any sexualisation of minors; child sexual abuse material; grooming, meaning any attempt to build contact with a minor for sexual purposes; asking a minor for photos, personal information or a meeting; and asking a minor to continue a conversation in another app or in private.
Violence: threats of violence, glorifying or inciting violence, and graphic or shocking content.
Self-harm: encouraging or instructing anyone to hurt themselves or to take their own life. Talking about your own difficulties is not a violation. If you or someone else is in danger, call 112. In Poland, children and teenagers can call 116 111 free of charge.
Personal data: publishing another person’s address, phone number, school, private photos or other personal data without their consent. If you are under 18, do not publish your own either.
Impersonation: pretending to be another person, a CubersDen moderator or staff member, or a company or organisation.
Spam: advertising, scams, chain messages, links to malware or phishing, posting the same content repeatedly, and posting by automated means.
Profanity: swearing and vulgar language, including in usernames and bios. Children use CubersDen, so this applies to everyone.
Fair play: posting fake or impossible times, cheating in battles, and manipulating leaderboards or ratings. A breach of this clause is handled as a question of results (the time or result is removed) and does not by itself label anyone as abusive.
Rights of others: content you do not have the right to publish, such as another person’s copyrighted work or trade mark.
Misuse of the Service: attempts to break into accounts or systems, scraping, bots, getting around a block or a ban (including by creating another account), and repeatedly sending reports or notices that are manifestly unfounded.
5. Moderation
We moderate with automated tools and with people. The automated tools are described in clauses 5.2 to 5.5. They never ban anyone: every automated restriction is reviewed by a person, and only a person can ban a user. Apart from these checks we do not review every item before it is published; we act on reports, blocks and alerts.
Word filter. Every post, comment, reply, shared scramble, username, display name and bio is checked automatically, within seconds of being posted, against a list of objectionable words and phrases in Polish and English. The check sees through common substitutions such as digits or symbols in place of letters. It covers severe terms (slurs, sexual terms, threats, grooming phrases) and ordinary swearing. When it finds a match, the item is hidden from other users and sent to a moderator; a username, display name or bio is set back to its previous value or to a neutral name. A filter makes mistakes: a moderator reviews every hold and restores anything held wrongly.
Posting limits. Posts and comments above a posting limit from accounts younger than 7 days, and a post that repeats its author’s previous post word for word, are held in the same way as in clause 5.2.
Hiding after three reports. When three different eligible users report the same item, it is hidden from everyone automatically until a moderator decides. A user is eligible when they are signed in with an account that is not a guest account, have accepted the community guidelines and have had the account for at least 24 hours. Reports from other users still reach a moderator but do not count towards the three.
Child safety. A single report for “Child safety” or “Self-harm” from an eligible account that is more than 7 days old hides the item from everyone immediately and alerts moderators at the highest priority. Reports of fake or impossible times go to a separate review of results, never hide anything automatically and never count towards clause 5.4.
Human review within 24 hours. Moderators are alerted as soon as a report, a block or a filter hold arrives. A person reviews each one within 24 hours and decides to remove the content, restore it, dismiss the report, warn the user or ban the user. Our moderators are Arvind Juneja and a backup moderator who can take every one of these decisions, including a ban.
Blocking another user. When you block someone: their posts, comments and replies disappear from your view; they can no longer comment on your posts, follow you or invite you to a battle; existing follows between you are removed in both directions; and you get no notifications from them. They are not told that you blocked them. Every block is also reported to our moderators, and three blocks of the same user within 30 days raise the priority of the review.
What a block does not do. A block does not delete the other user’s content and does not ban them. Your public posts, public profile and leaderboard entries remain publicly readable by anyone, including the person you blocked, because public content can be seen even without an account. To limit who can see your profile, make it private. If someone is breaking these Terms, report them as well as blocking them.
Where your version of the app supports it, an item you report or hide disappears from your own view straight away.
Statement of reasons. Whenever we remove, hide or restrict your content or your account, including automatically, we tell you what we did, the facts behind the decision, whether automated means were used, the clause of these Terms we applied, and how to appeal (section 7). The statement carries an action ID. It is delivered in your notifications and, where we have your email address, by email. We never tell you who reported you.
6. Reporting
In the app and on the website. Every post, comment, reply, profile, battle and shared scramble has a ⋯ menu with Report. Choose the reason that fits best and add details if you want. You need to be signed in.
Without an account. Anyone can report content they consider illegal or contrary to these Terms using the form at cubersden.com/support/report (a notice under Article 16 DSA). The form asks for the address (URL) of the content, an explanation of why it is illegal or breaks these Terms, your name and email address, and a statement that you submit the notice in good faith. You do not have to give your name or email when the notice concerns child sexual abuse material. If you give an email address, we confirm receipt of the notice and tell you our decision, and whether automated means were used in reaching it.
You can also report by email to support@cubersden.com.
If someone’s life or safety is in immediate danger, call 112 first, then report.
We handle every report and notice in a timely, diligent, non-arbitrary and objective manner, following section 5.
If a person frequently sends reports or notices that are manifestly unfounded, we may, after a warning, stop processing their reports for a reasonable period.
7. Appeals and complaints
If you disagree with a decision about your content or account, or with our decision on a report or notice you sent, reply to the statement email or write to support@cubersden.com within 6 months of the decision. Quote the action ID from the statement of reasons and tell us why you think the decision is wrong.
A person reviews every appeal, where possible a moderator who did not take the original decision, and we answer within 14 days. If the decision was wrong, we reverse it: we restore the content or the account and tell you.
Complaints about the Service. If the Service does not work as these Terms describe, write to support@cubersden.com with a description of the problem. We answer complaints by email within 14 days.
Appeals and complaints are free and do not limit your right to go to court or to use out-of-court consumer dispute resolution available to you under the law.
8. Bans and reinstatement
A ban means: you are signed out on every device; your account can no longer sign in; your posts, comments and shared scrambles are hidden; and your profile is removed from public view, search and leaderboards. You may not create another account while a ban is in force.
A warning is recorded on your account. A second warning within 90 days normally leads to a ban. Serious violations lead to a ban straight away (clause 3.2).
A ban is permanent unless it is lifted on appeal (section 7). When an appeal succeeds, we re-enable the account and restore its content.
A banned user keeps their rights over their personal data, including the right to receive a copy or to have it deleted. Write to support@cubersden.com.
Apart from bans, we may end the account contract, or stop providing the Service, for an important reason, such as closing the Service or a change in the law, giving at least 30 days’ notice by email or in the app.
9. Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time, free of charge: in the apps under You → Settings → Delete Account, or as described at cubersden.com/account/delete, including by email from the address on your account if you cannot sign in.
Deletion is permanent. Your solves, sessions, posts, comments and profile are deleted; battle records are anonymised so that your opponents’ history stays intact. Moderation records are kept for the periods set out in the Privacy Policy.
Deleting your account ends the account contract. Uninstalling an app does not delete your account.
10. Contact for users and authorities
Our single point of contact for users (Article 12 DSA) and for the authorities of the Member States, the European Commission and the European Board for Digital Services (Article 11 DSA) is support@cubersden.com.
You can write to us in Polish or in English. A person answers every message.
Authorities and law enforcement should put “Authority request” in the subject line so that the message is handled first.
11. Changes, versioning and final provisions
This is version 1 of the Terms, in force from 23 September 2026.
We may change these Terms for an important reason: a change in the law, a decision of an authority, a new feature, or the safety of users. We announce changes on this page and in the app at least 14 days before they take effect, unless the law or the safety of users requires a faster change. Each version has a number, and before your next post after a change you will be asked to accept the new version. If you do not accept it, you can delete your account at any time (section 9).
These Terms are published in Polish and in English, and both versions are binding. Other languages are provided for information only.
These Terms are governed by Polish law. If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not take away the protection given to you by the mandatory provisions of the law of the country where you habitually live, and you may bring proceedings before the courts that have jurisdiction under the law.
The Service is free. We work to keep it available but cannot guarantee that it will always be available or free of errors. We are responsible for content posted by users only to the extent provided by law. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under mandatory law.
If you downloaded an app from the App Store or Google Play, the store’s terms also apply to the app. Apple and Google are not parties to these Terms and are not responsible for the Service or its content.
