A smart cube sees every turn, so it also knows whether you solved a case in one step with the full algorithm, or still in two steps (one algorithm, then another). From today the OLL and PLL pages use that. The screenshots show real data from Arvind, who makes CubersDen.

Ticks on the cards

A case you have solved in one step at least twice gets a green tick ✓ on its card. Your first one-step solve of a case gets a gold star ★. Above the grid you see how many cases of the set you already do in one step.

The PLL page: “you do 9 of the 21 PLL cases in one step”, the legend, and the Aa and F cards with a green tick
Arvind does 9 of the 21 PLLs in one step. Aa and F have the tick, Ab not yet.

The first time, remembered

On every case page you see how many times you solved it in one step, and when the first time was.

The box on the T-perm page: You know it, in one step 27 of 28 times, the first on 24 September 2026, average recognition and execution
Arvind’s T-perm: 27 of 28 times in one step, the first on 24 September.

Badges count real solves

Until now the OLL learned and PLL learned badges came only from the algorithm trainer. Now the cases you solved in one step on a smart cube at least twice count too. The trainer and your solves add up, and each case counts once. The first PLL learned badge earned this way has already gone to one of our cubers.

What to do

Only you see your ticks, when you are signed in.
